Context

Ant Open Source released for Ring-2.6-1T, a trillion-parameter model tuned for use with a selectable thinking-effort setting, including an extra-high level the company recommends for complex reasoning, plus a separate Deep Thinking mode. A reasoning-effort dial lets a single model spend more or less computation reasoning through a problem before answering, so a quick lookup and a multi-step problem can both go to the same model at different settings rather than needing separate models sized for each case.

A companion Ant Ling post about the same launch reports strong scores on agentic execution and tool-orchestration benchmarks and says the model was made free on OpenRouter for its first week, details not repeated in this open-weights announcement. Ant published weights on both Hugging Face and ModelScope for this release, letting the effort-dial behavior be tested directly rather than taken only on the announcement.
