Today, we're happy to announce the open-weights release of five language models, including three enterprise-grade production models that have been powering customer workloads through our SaaS platform (SuperNova, Virtuoso-Large, Caller), and two cutting-edge research models (GLM-4-32B-Base-32K, Homunculus). This significant release marks our transition to the primary focus on the Arcee Foundation Model (AFM) family, which represents our next-generation approach to building efficient, compliant, and deployable foundation models. Blog post:

Context
As it shifted focus to its new AFM line launched two weeks earlier with AFM-4.5B, Arcee open-sourced five models it had previously kept closed: three, SuperNova, Virtuoso-Large, and Caller, a function-calling model, had been running production customer workloads through Arcee's hosted SaaS platform, while two others, GLM-4-32B-Base-32K and Homunculus, were research checkpoints.
Making the production models' weights downloadable means anyone can now self-host or systems that were previously reachable only by renting access through Arcee's paid API; the announcement points to a companion blog post for individual model details rather than listing parameter counts or licenses in the post itself.
- fine-tuning — Taking a trained model and training it a bit more on your own examples so it gets better at one specific job.
- open weights — A model whose trained parameters are published for anyone to download and run — unlike API-only models you can access but never possess.
