Context
Sakana AI announced that Fugu, its service that coordinates several models behind one API, and Fugu Ultra could be used inside OpenCode, an open-source coding . Its July 2026 thread also says the team had used OpenCode to verify models while developing Fugu.
The integration gives developers a coding-client route to the Fugu service. OpenCode supplies the working environment, while Fugu supplies model orchestration behind requests. This brings the two systems together without establishing that the integration itself improved coding performance.
