OpenRouter's video API treats generation as a job: an application submits a request, receives an identifier and retrieves the result when it is ready. A shared request format handles common options, while a model-discovery endpoint exposes which durations, resolutions and image inputs each model supports. That matters because a uniform API does not make every model accept identical settings.
