Open Sourcing Flyteinteractive

LinkedIn's FlyteInteractive lets machine-learning engineers debug inside a remote environment resembling the one that runs their training jobs. Built on Flyte, the pipeline orchestrator that schedules those jobs, the February 2024 announcement describes opening a browser-based editor within a Flyte task, with access to the remote data and GPU resources needed for testing.

This addresses a mismatch in the previous workflow: a reduced model and mock data could pass local checks while the full training job failed remotely. Keeping an interactive session in the remote environment lets an engineer inspect variables, change code and retry there, rather than repeatedly editing locally and resubmitting the entire workflow.
