CoreWeave is a publicly traded (Nasdaq: CRWV) cloud infrastructure company specializing in GPU-accelerated computing for AI training and inference. Founded in 2017 in New Jersey as a cryptocurrency-mining operation by commodities traders Michael Intrator, Brian Venturo, Brannin McBee, and Peter Salanki, the company pivoted to cloud GPU infrastructure after the 2018 crypto downturn. It IPO'd in March 2025, counts Microsoft, OpenAI, and Meta among its major partners and customers, and has since acquired Weights & Biases.
