Kling AI is the generative video and image service developed by Kuaishou Technology, the Beijing-based company behind China's Kuaishou short-video platform. First released in June 2024 inside Kuaishou's KuaiYing editing app and later opened internationally, it turns text and image prompts into video using a diffusion-transformer architecture built on a self-developed 3D variational autoencoder. The @Kling_ai account is the service's official English-language channel, and Kuaishou reports tens of millions of creators worldwide using the product.
