Railway is a cloud infrastructure platform, founded in 2020 by CEO Jake Cooper, that lets developers deploy, scale, and manage applications and services without manually provisioning servers. Cooper previously worked as a software engineer at Wolfram Alpha, Bloomberg, and Uber before co-founding the company. Based in San Francisco, Railway raised a $20 million Series A led by Redpoint Ventures, with angel backing from Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch and GitHub co-founder Tom Preston-Werner.
