Salvatore Sanfilippo, known online as antirez, is an Italian computer programmer and author who says on GitHub that he mostly writes open-source software. Wikipedia identifies him as the creator of the Redis in-memory database, which he developed and led for over a decade, and of the hping tool and the Idle scan port-scanning method. In this directory he is credited with DwarfStar (ds4), a small native inference engine for running a few open-weight language models, starting with DeepSeek V4 Flash, on consumer hardware with Metal, CUDA and ROCm.
