Eric Jang is an AI and robotics researcher. From 2022 to early 2026 he was Vice President of AI at 1X Technologies, the humanoid robotics company behind the NEO robot, where he built and led the AI team. Before that he spent six years as a senior research scientist on Google's robotics research team, where he co-led work on SayCan and co-authored the Gumbel-Softmax paper. He holds ScB and ScM degrees from Brown University.
