Exa Labs, known as Exa, is an AI search infrastructure company founded in 2021 by Will Bryk and Jeff Wang, who met as roommates at Harvard University. The company operates a neural search engine built for AI applications and agents rather than human browsing, and is backed by investors including Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed, and Nvidia. By mid-2026 Exa had raised a $250 million Series C round at a $2.2 billion valuation, following an $85 million Series B round in September 2025.
