GreenSock is the company behind GSAP (GreenSock Animation Platform), a JavaScript animation library originally created by Jack Doyle in 2008 to work around Flash's animation limitations. GSAP lets developers animate CSS, SVG, canvas, and other web properties with high performance and framework-agnostic, zero-dependency code, and is used on millions of websites. Webflow acquired GreenSock in October 2024, and in 2025 made the entire GSAP toolset, including previously paid plugins like SplitText and MorphSVG, free for all developers.
