Hexo Labs (hexo-ai) is an AI research startup founded in 2022 in Bengaluru, India by Kunal Bhatia and Vignesh Baskaran, who met through the Antler India residency program. It launched as a generative AI company building an open-source image-generation API for enterprises, backed by pre-seed funding from Antler. The company has since shifted focus to building SIA (Self-Improving AI), an open-source framework aimed at letting AI agents autonomously evaluate and improve their own performance.
