honojs is the GitHub organization for Hono, an open-source web framework built on Web Standards (Request, Response, fetch) that runs unmodified on Cloudflare Workers, Deno, Bun, AWS Lambda, and Node.js. It was created in December 2021 by Yusuke Wada, then a Cloudflare engineer, as a lightweight alternative to existing Workers routers, and Cloudflare has since used it internally in products including D1 and Workers Logs. The organization maintains 14+ repositories, including the core hono package and the HonoX meta-framework, and has roughly 3,300 followers on GitHub.
