Inngest is a developer platform for building durable, event-driven workflows and AI agent orchestration without managing separate queueing infrastructure. Founded in 2022 by CEO Tony Holdstock-Brown and CTO Dan Farrelly with founding engineer Jack Williams, the remote-first company has raised funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, and Altimeter Capital, plus backers such as GitHub founder Tom Preston-Werner and Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch. It open-sources its core codebase and holds SOC 2 Type II certification.
