draw.io Ltd (formerly JGraph Ltd) is a UK-based software company co-founded around 2000 by David Benson and Swiss engineer Gaudenz Alder, who originated the underlying graphing library as a master's thesis at ETH Zurich. Over 25 years the company evolved that Java library through a JavaScript successor (mxGraph) into one of the world's most widely used open-source, browser-based diagramming platforms, now operating under the diagrams.net brand.
