jqlang is the open-source organization that stewards jq, the widely-adopted command-line JSON processor originally created by Stephen Dolan in 2012 and often described as "sed for JSON data." After a five-year maintenance hiatus, a community of contributors formed the jqlang organization in 2023 to revitalize the project, establishing sustainable governance for one of the most ubiquitous data-wrangling tools in the Unix ecosystem.
