Langfuse builds an open-source LLM engineering platform for tracing, evaluating and debugging AI applications, and its GitHub organization maintains the main langfuse repository. It was founded by Marc Klingen, Maximilian Deichmann and Clemens Rawert, went through Y Combinator's Winter 2023 batch, and raised capital from Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. ClickHouse acquired Langfuse in January 2026, and Langfuse says it stays open source and self-hostable.
