Lightricks is an Israeli software company founded in January 2013 by five Hebrew University of Jerusalem PhD students, including Zeev Farbman, Nir Pochter, and Yaron Inger. Headquartered in Jerusalem with offices in Haifa, London, New York, and Chicago, it built its early reputation on mobile photo- and video-editing apps, most notably the selfie-editing app Facetune, which won Apple's App of the Year. It has since grown into one of Israel's unicorns with hundreds of millions of cumulative app downloads and has pivoted in recent years toward generative AI tools for video and content creation.
