Granola is a London-based startup that builds an AI-powered notepad for meetings, blending a user's own typed notes with background audio transcription (no bot joins the call) to produce polished, shareable meeting notes. Founded in March 2023 by CEO Chris Pedregal, who previously co-founded the AI tutoring app Socratic (acquired by Google), and Sam Stephenson, formerly of note-taking app Ideaflow. The company has raised over $190 million from investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Spark Capital, and NFDG, reaching a $1.5 billion valuation in its March 2026 Series C led by Index Ventures.
