Prime Intellect is an AI infrastructure company, founded by Vincent Weisser and Johannes Hagemann, that builds decentralized platforms for training, evaluating, and deploying large-scale AI models by pooling globally distributed compute. In 2024 it trained INTELLECT-1, a 10-billion-parameter language model, using contributors' machines spread across the US, Europe, and Asia, and later released a 32-billion-parameter model trained with fully asynchronous reinforcement learning. The company has raised over $70 million from investors including Founders Fund, CoinFund, and Menlo Ventures.
