Radix UI (Radix Primitives) is an open-source library of unstyled, accessible React components used as a foundation for custom design systems. It originated at Modulz, a developer-tools startup founded by Colm Tuite and Stephen Haney around 2018 that also built the Stitches CSS-in-JS library. WorkOS acquired Modulz in June 2022, and the Radix project has continued under WorkOS's stewardship since, with adoption by companies including Linear, Supabase, and Vercel.
