Remotion is the company behind the open-source React framework for creating videos programmatically, letting developers use CSS, Canvas, SVG, WebGL and React composition to generate video content in code. Started as a side project in 2021, it is now a self-funded, profitable company based in Zurich, Switzerland, led by Jonny Burger (Chief Hacker) alongside Mehmet Ademi and Igor Samokhovets. Its main GitHub repository has drawn tens of thousands of stars and the company reports over two million videos rendered with the framework monthly.
