Introducing Secrets In Browserbase Functions

Context

Browserbase's Secrets feature lets hosted browser Functions authenticate with other services without credentials in their source code or passing them with every invocation. A developer stores a credential in the project, attaches it to a particular Function, and the Function receives its value at runtime through .secrets. The release announcement describes access as limited to explicitly attached secrets.

This supports workflows that continue beyond the browser, such as collecting information from a customer portal and then updating a customer record through an API. Developers can inspect which secrets are attached without retrieving their values, and detach access when it is no longer needed.
