Context

Runway uses WorldPrompt to let people steer a generated environment as it unfolds. Users can specify the starting scene and timestamped actions, including instructions supplied during generation. In this interview, the company explains that its GWM Worlds 2 research preview generates successive video frames with synchronized audio, allowing new instructions to influence what comes next.

That control operates through prompts. The researchers say the environment has no separate structured state for an to inspect, and its memory remains imperfect. This makes WorldPrompt a way to direct an interactive audiovisual simulation, with consistency and instruction-following still research problems.
