Kinesis reads sEMG gesture data from the Meta Neural Band independently of its paired glasses and uses it to control a Mac, letting users swipe between desktops, open Mission Control, or turn a virtual knob to adjust volume with hand gestures. It builds on the author's earlier proof-of-concept for reading the Neural Band's sensor data outside its intended application.
Why it made the leaderboard
Shows how to read sEMG signals off Meta's Neural Band on its own and turn them into real macOS gestures, opening a piece of hardware most people only use through its glasses app.
