Cursor cloud agents can now run on your own infrastructure

You can now run Cursor cloud agents on your infrastructure, including pools of machines that automatically scale with demand. This lets you give agents access to internal services or specialized hardware, while the agent loop stays in Cursor.

Why it matters

Cursor cloud agents can now run on your own machines or providers such as Modal, E2B, and Daytona, so agents can reach internal services and specialized hardware without moving the out of Cursor.

Terms in this piece · Glossary
  • agentic loop — The cycle an agent runs in: decide, call a tool, read the result, decide again — repeating until the goal is met or a stop condition fires.
  • sandbox — An isolated environment where AI-generated code or agent actions run without being able to touch anything real.
