Continuity is a git-backed plugin that preserves a project's current decisions, constraints, and rejected approaches across separate AI coding sessions in tools like Claude Code and Cursor, or anything using MCP. It stores this state as plain markdown files versioned in git rather than as a conversational memory log, so it answers what must hold true about a project now instead of what was previously discussed.
Why it made the leaderboard
It gives coding agents durable, auditable project state (settled decisions and constraints, not just chat logs) that persists across sessions and tools, reducing the risk of an agent silently re-litigating decisions already made.
