Context

OpenRouter, which routes requests to many hosted models, said on October 8, 2026 in a post on X that Mercury Decide from Inception is now available with zero data retention. Zero data retention means the provider does not keep the prompts and outputs that pass through it.

The paid endpoint costs $0.02 per million input , 50% off the $0.04 list price, with output and cached input free and a 66K . It sits alongside a free endpoint. OpenRouter also calls it the fastest-growing decision model on the service the previous week, a ranking the post does not support with numbers. The same pricing appears in Inception's own update.
