Last week, we launched Mercury Decide, a Jev-beating decision model that quickly rose to #2 on OpenRouter by number of users: https://t.co/SIySfLQBHA This week, we’re updating Mercury Decide with substantially better benchmark performance, longer context (33k → 66k), General Availability with Zero Data Retention (ZDR), and more. All that with lower pricing than Jev (ZDR for $0.02/$0 per 1M in/out, discounted at 50% from the list price of $0.04/$0, plus 100M free tokens), alongside an unlimited free tier. What have we improved? Read on to find out! [🧵1/4]
Mercury Decide now has 66k , GA with zero data retention, and pricing below Jev. Teams with privacy requirements can now use it in production for classification and verification routing.
- context window — The maximum amount of text a model can consider at once — its working memory for the current conversation or task.
- token — The chunk of text a model reads and writes in — roughly three-quarters of a word — and the unit AI usage is billed in.
