Context
Cerebras's CS-4 seeks faster AI responses through changes around its wafer-sized processors: power delivery, cooling, connections and rack packaging. SemiAnalysis examines those changes in its CS-4 analysis. The manufacturer's product documentation describes three WSE-3 Turbo processors per system and says each wafer delivers up to twice the speed of the previous generation.
Speed and storage capacity remain separate constraints. SemiAnalysis notes that on-chip SRAM capacity stays at 44 GB per wafer, because it is set by the number of memory cells on the wafer. Faster movement through that memory does not increase how much it holds. SemiAnalysis's expectations of roughly doubled per-user generation speed at similar hardware cost should be read as analyst projections, rather than a workload-independent purchasing guarantee.
