Context
Datasette 0.4a0 gives plugins a way to send work into the user's browser and return the result to the agent. Simon Willison's release announcement introduces .browser_task(), which lets an agent tool request browser-side JavaScript execution. The implementation record describes suspending the agent's turn while that work is pending, then resuming with its result.
A concrete use appears in the subsequent Datasette Apps release: an agent can test an invisible copy of an app and measure page elements. The release notes explain how this supplies a debugging loop, giving the agent browser observations it can use when editing an app.
