About
Agentfence is a policy firewall for AI agents and MCP tools that intercepts every tool call, enforces allow/deny/ask rules, redacts secrets, validates arguments, and writes auditable logs before an agent can touch the filesystem, GitHub, a browser, or external APIs. It also ships a GitHub Action that produces CI evidence for those authorization decisions.
Why it made the leaderboard
It addresses a real, underserved gap: a middleware layer that inspects and gates what autonomous agents are actually allowed to do to your systems, with an audit trail to back it up.
