Autocomplete just finishes your line. @cline finishes the issue. It’s an open coding agent that lives in your editor and actually does the work: reads your repo, edits files, runs commands, ships the task. An agent like that needs a model that won’t lose the thread halfway through — consistent tool calls, instructions that hold across turns. Solar Pro 4 was built for exactly this. Now free in Cline through Sept 15. Give it your messiest repo. Check it out here 👉 https://t.co/Q4fwpYKUTR Or just type this in your terminal: npm i -g cline

Context
Cline is an open coding that runs inside a code editor: it reads a repository, edits files, runs commands, and works toward completing an assigned task rather than just autocompleting a line. Per Upstage's post, Upstage made its Solar Pro 4 model free to use inside Cline through September 15.
Upstage's own release describes Solar Pro 4 as built for multi-step work rather than single answers, with a 512K- , an adjustable reasoning-effort setting, and self-reported scores of 57 on Terminal-Bench v2.1 and 71 on AA-LCR (release details), benchmarks meant to test sustained and multi-turn consistency of the kind an agent like Cline requires. Those are Upstage's own figures, not independently reproduced here.
- AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
- token — The chunk of text a model reads and writes in — roughly three-quarters of a word — and the unit AI usage is billed in.
- context window — The maximum amount of text a model can consider at once — its working memory for the current conversation or task.
- tool use — A model's ability to call external functions — run code, search the web, edit files — instead of only generating text.
