Vary support is now available in Cache Rules on every plan. You can normalize known negotiation headers, pass exact values through to the origin when those small differences matter, or bypass cache when the variation is too unpredictable. https://t.co/jUgUZiY6ic
Context
Cloudflare added support for the Vary header to Cache Rules, available on every plan. The Vary header tells caches that a response can differ based on things like a visitor's requested language or supported compression, so a page cached for one visitor might not be the right version to serve another.
With this update, operators can choose how Cloudflare handles that variation for a given rule: normalize known headers so similar requests share a cache entry, pass exact header values through to the origin server when small differences genuinely change the response, or skip caching entirely when the variation is too unpredictable to cache safely. Cloudflare's post doesn't specify what happens by default for existing cache rules that don't set one of these options.
