NVIDIA's CUDA Python 1.0 milestone gives developers a stability commitment for supported Python interfaces to GPU computing. Public interfaces scheduled for removal must first be deprecated, and breaking changes belong in major releases. The announcement presents that commitment as the central change.
The shared foundation includes Python objects for GPU devices, memory, and execution streams, allowing compatible libraries to operate on the same resources. The milestone covers independently versioned packages rather than one uniformly numbered release. Some newer kernel-authoring tools remain experimental, so their interfaces do not yet carry the same stability promise.
