About

agent-usage-guard is a Claude Code mod that holds subagent fan-out, heavy-context prompts and retry loops before they consume a usage window. It reads the plan's live 5-hour and weekly usage, counts agents across all sessions on the machine, and asks for approval in Claude Code's own dialog, or refuses when nobody can answer. This prevents a single runaway prompt from locking the user out until the window resets.
