Context

OpenRouter's Ori 0.10.1 fixes cases where its terminal interface presented a model variant with the wrong information. The August 24 changelog says variants carrying suffixes such as :nitro or :floor were treated as unknown models, which showed wrong reasoning-effort options and a false catalog notice; lookups now fall back to the base model, so the effort command and model picker treat a variant like its base model.

The picker also stops displaying a tiny paid rate as free when rounding would otherwise turn it into zero, showing 0.01 instead. Together, these fixes make model selection more faithful to the underlying service: users can see usable settings and distinguish a low price from no charge.

Terms in this piece · Glossary
  • agent harness — The scaffolding around a model that turns it into a working agent — the loop, the tools it can call, and the rules for when to stop.
  • eval — A repeatable test for AI quality — a set of tasks plus scoring — used the way software teams use test suites, because model output is too variable to judge by eyeballing.
