About
aixm-parser is a TypeScript library that parses AIXM 5.1.1 (Aeronautical Information Exchange Model) files, the FAA/EUROCONTROL standard for aeronautical data such as airports, airspaces, navaids, routes, and obstacles. It streams large files with a hybrid SAX/DOM parser, converts GML geometry to GeoJSON with geodesic accuracy, and resolves the format's temporal baseline/delta model and internal cross-references.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets developers building flight-planning or airspace tools parse AIXM aeronautical data directly in TypeScript instead of hand-rolling XML/GML parsing or reaching for heavier GIS toolchains.
