Fish Audio models now available on Vercel AI Gateway for free

Vercel added Fish Audio speech generation and transcription models to AI Gateway, but the launch's free offer was explicitly temporary. The announcement set its end date at September 18, 2026.

The model name controlled what happened afterward. Standard model identifiers were scheduled to begin billing automatically when the offer ended; identifiers with the -free suffix were scheduled to stop serving instead. That distinction determined whether a trial integration would continue as a paid service or stop when the promotional period expired.
