Tako Search is free on AI Gateway through September 30th

Vercel's integration of Tako Search lets an application change its AI Gateway model while keeping the same search tool. The model requests outside information when needed; the gateway executes the search and returns results for use in the answer, without requiring a separate Tako account or API key.

Tako combines curated data with web search and returns citations and visualizations. This keeps the retrieval connection separate from the choice of model. The announcement's free-use offer was set to run through September 30; it does not establish current pricing.

“Tako Search is free exclusively on AI Gateway through September 30th.”

“Tako Search combines its curated knowledge graph with the live web in one response, giving models source-grounded data cards, citations, and visualizations.”
