Vercel's Chat SDK can suspend a workflow while a person decides whether it should continue. A requestApproval call posts an approval card and returns the decision to the workflow; the published example runs deployment code only when approval is granted. Vercel says the pending wait survives deployments and restarts, so a long delay does not erase the request. Developers can also restrict who may decide. The changelog describes a reusable approval step that handles the waiting and response plumbing without a custom polling loop.
