jevc compiles agent policy prose, such as a CLAUDE.md rule like "never commit unless the user explicitly asks," into a deterministic verdict program: a small set of narrow, typed evidence questions answered by a model, with the pass or fail verdict then computed in code instead of being re-interpreted by the model on every turn. This matters because a markdown rule is a suggestion the model re-reads fresh each time, so agents can and do ignore it.
Why it made the leaderboard
It turns easily-ignored CLAUDE.md-style rules into testable, deterministic gates that catch violations coding agents currently get away with.
