Vercel Connect now supports Microsoft

Context

Vercel introduced a managed Microsoft connector that handles application registration and credential setup for connected projects. After tenant authorization, a deployment can use its own identity to request short-lived access credentials. The announcement distinguishes application access approved by an administrator from acting for a user within that user's authorized permissions.

This reduces the client-secret setup developers must manage while keeping access dependent on authorization. It resembles the runtime-credential approach in the earlier GitHub tools integration, whose announcement describes generating short-lived credentials for repository operations.
