About

Jev Approach Control is a browser-based air traffic control simulator for a single runway, where players issue radio calls in plain English to sequence, space, and land arriving aircraft, or hand the frequency to Jev, an AI decision model from TypeSafe, to handle sequencing automatically. It is an unofficial demo built by a third party and is not affiliated with TypeSafe.

At a glance

Jev Approach Control is a browser simulation of one runway. Give plain-English instructions or hand control to Jev. It is worth opening if you want to see how a decision model handles several arrivals that need spacing and landing clearance.

Good fit

People curious about agent behavior in a small simulation with visible outcomes.

Consider something else when

Skip it if you need an aviation training tool or realistic coverage across airports and procedures.

Start here

Read the runway 27 instructions, let Jev take the frequency, and watch whether it lines up an arrival before clearing it. Use the landed and lost counters to track outcomes.

Cost and requirements

The simulator is hosted on the web. The landing screen provides manual and Jev modes. Model access requirements and usage limits were unclear from that screen.

Limits to know

This is an unofficial single-runway demo. The on-screen rules specify separation and a clearance cutoff that can trigger a go-around. The guide is based on those rules.

Why it made the leaderboard

It lets you watch an AI model make live runway sequencing and landing decisions in a simulated environment, a more concrete demonstration than a static reasoning transcript.
