Claude S40 is an unofficial Java ME client that brings a Claude chat interface to 2007-era Nokia Series 40 phones like the Nokia 6300, paired with a small Go server that handles the actual API calls and web search. The phone displays replies on its 240x320 screen with paging for long answers, web search results for news, weather, and exchange rates, and a UI available in Turkish or English.
Why it made the leaderboard
Demonstrates a full working Claude client running on 2007-era JavaME hardware with search-grounded answers, a fun and well-built proof that LLM access isn't tied to modern devices.
