Reader is a native macOS app that combines a PDF, EPUB, and TXT reader with highlighting, annotation, and note-taking alongside an AI chat that can answer questions about a selection, the current page, everything read so far, or the whole book. It keeps the book, notes, and AI conversation in one local-first workspace, and the source is released under the MIT license.
