About
Hob is a desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux that works with your files the way hosted AI assistants do, but runs open-weight models such as Gemma 4 and gpt-oss on your own computer. It picks a model that fits the hardware on first install, can run sandboxed Python for tasks like data processing and charts, reads images and PDFs, supports MCP connectors and edits local files. Chats and files stay on the device, and web search can be turned off.
