Vercel's AI Gateway integration lets applications send ByteDance Seed's Seedance 2.5 video model a prompt together with image or video references. A reference clip can guide camera movement while a still supplies the subject's appearance, giving creators more control than a text description alone.
The same request structure also supports editing supplied footage: the prompt specifies whether to generate a new scene from the references or change something in an existing clip. Vercel notes that combining referencing and editing in one prompt makes results less predictable. The model developer also describes these reference and editing capabilities in its announcement.
