Context
Arcee AI shipped version 0.1.3 of nac, the open-source it built for long-running coding tasks. The main change, per its release notes, is that each session now runs inside its own Git worktree, so two sessions working on the same project no longer share one working directory and risk clobbering each other's uncommitted edits. Arcee also added project-based session organization, autocomplete for expanding saved prompts, image reading for the agent, and syntax highlighting for code and diffs.
- agent harness — The scaffolding around a model that turns it into a working agent — the loop, the tools it can call, and the rules for when to stop.
- sandbox — An isolated environment where AI-generated code or agent actions run without being able to touch anything real.
- AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
- agent skill — A reusable instruction file that teaches an agent how to do one job well — the procedure, the tools, and what counts as done.
